JLS are hit by a Lee Mack attack

Written By: Abbie On July 23, 2011

JLS singer Aston Merrygold looks uncomfortable on Lee Mack’s telly show – in a blonde beehive wig.
The singer, 23, played comic Lee’s landlady in a sketch on All Star Cast, which also featured ex-Spice Girl Emma Bunton.

Bandmate Marvin Humes, 26, was also humiliated – when host Lee held up a mask of his pop beauty girlfriend Rochelle Wiseman and made him propose. The episode aired on BBC1 last night.

Next JLS Album will be personal

Written By: Abbie On July 22, 2011

JLS have promised that their next album will be their most personal one yet.
The boy band – Oritse Williams, JB Gill, Aston Merrygold and Marvin Humes – are aiming to give their fans a Christmas present to remember with their third album.

Oritse said: “It’s a progression of all the music. There are a lot of life experiences and a lot of things that we went through over the last few years and we wanted to talk about them in this third album.

“It gave us the opportunity when we had time to just sit down and write in the studio to just pour our hearts out. We’re very excited for fans to hear a very honest, honest side of JLS,” he continued.

His bandmate JB said the group, who launched the new M&M’s World store in London, have been busy writing tracks in between their UK tour and gigs.

“We are in the studio at the moment and hopefully the album will be with you guys towards the end of the year,” he revealed.

“We have written most of the songs now, about 60 to 70 songs and we have been fine-tuning and whittling them down to about 18, which we’ll then pick an album of about 13.”

Aston wants to be a xfactor judge!

Written By: Abbie On

The JLS boys were once contestants on the X Factor. It launched them into stardom and they haven’t looked back… until now. Aston Merryhgold told TOTP magazine that they would consider going back on the show but as judges. It woud prove just how successful they’ve been.

Aston’s really got a thing for TV shows, remember when he admitted he wanted to go on Take Me Out aswell?

Aston said, “Of course I’d do it, definitely. I think if you are asked to be one of the judges, it shows you’ve had a pretty good career.”

He continued, “I think we would be honest judges – we wouldn’t want to give anyone false hope.”

Does that mean you’d be to the point like Simon Cowell? So long as you don’t start pulling your trousers really high and wearing your hair in a centre parting, then we’re fine with you being an X Factor judge. Bit of eye candy on a Saturday night!

Band mate Ortise Williams joined in, clearly equally excited by the idea of returning as a judge.

He explained, “We’ve been there before so we’d try to be sympathetic to whoever was auditioning. We know what a daunting experience it really is.”

He even suggested a JLS rotation system where they could each take it in turns to judge week to week. Sounds good to us boys. Do you think you rotationally date us as well?

Would you want Aston or any of the JLS boys judging the X Factor? Reckon they’d make good judges?

JLS eye up a duet with Rihanna

JLS would love to work with Rihanna, among others.
The chart-topping boy band – Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold, JB Gill and Oritse Williams – have a dream wishlist of who they would like to collaborate with, and the Umbrella songstress is top of the list.

“We’d love to work with the likes of Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Jay-Z,” said Marvin.

“We would love to work with Tinie Tempah again. There are a lot of people out there, so we will wait and see.”

JLS, who launched the new M&M’s World store in London, are currently lining up some surprises for their forthcoming third album.

“Fans can expect some surprises, but we’re not going to say who,” teased Marvin.

“We are working on some other collaborations and we are really excited about it. We don’t want to say anything, because nothing is confirmed, but fingers crossed.”

JLS teaming up with Bruno Mars.

They sung his verses at the Mobo’s last year when he couldn’t attend and now they are finally coming together on a song. Boyband JLS are joining forces with hit-maker Bruno Mars, the Metro reports. Lead singer Aston Merrygold said: “We’re working with Bruno Mars at the moment and I’ve admired his work for ages.”

But the boys are setting their heights even higher, aiming to work with Usher and Rihanna. Merrygold confirmed: “We’re in talks and it would be amazing if it happened.”

The 23 year-old also quashed whispers that the group, consisting of himself, Marvin Humes, Oritse Williams and Jonathan ‘JB’ Gills, would ever split up. He said: “If JLS ever does end – which it won’t – it’ll be all four of us. We’ll be friends forever. The group works and we’re happy as we are.”

JLS’ latest single Eyes Wide Shut featuring Tinie Tempah is out now.
